Ao

A.k.a. The Overgod

The most powerful being known to Aoterra.

Ao is commonly referred to has he/him, though the majority of religious historians know him as having no identifiable gender or sex.

He is known to all as the Creator, the greatest being that ever touched Aoterra and that shaped the world in its earliest forms. Some say he watches over us now, serviced by the Allwatch, while others say he has long since abandoned us to greater projects, but almost all historians agree that Ao was the original deity, shaper, and sculptor of the land.

In Weave Theory, the strings of energy known as Aons are named after Ao.
