Refined Residuum

Refined Residuum is pure residuum that has been processed and manufactured for more specific or powerful uses. It is often used with Aetheryte or to create modern magic items, due to the efficiency and self-sustaining nature of the material.

Refined Residuum is created through a process called Resynthesis, where raw Residuum is broken down in Dragonfire Forges to separate the pure residuum from the other material, utilizing a magical reagent called Sethizol. This creates a toxic byproduct called Asozyne, which pollutes the air it inhabits.

It also powers the modern Residuum Engine.
